SEARCH Implementation Workshop
23-25 May 2005
The National Conference Center
Lansdowne, VA
The SEARCH Implementation Workshop, funded by the National Science Foundation's Office of Polar Programs Arctic Sciences Section, was held to establish priorities for the next steps of the implementation of SEARCH. The set of priorities resulting from this meeting will help to guide the science community and agencies in SEARCH planning, including that for the upcoming International Polar Year (IPY).
Workshop participants included members of the SEARCH Science Steering Committee (SSC); the Observing Change, Understanding Change, and Responding to Change panels; the SEARCH Interagency Program Management Committee (IPMC, formerly Interagency Working Group); as well as other invited participants. The workshop was organized with a combination of plenary discussions and working group sessions.
The workshop report recommends priorities for SEARCH implementation beyond the present Implementation Strategy, including detailed plans for SEARCH activity areas.
