Physical Geographer learning remote sensing methods and applying them to glacier monitoring.
From that I developed a curiosity for glaciers and always enjoyed mountainous environment. Observed interesting features of the Boundary Layer in complex topographic settings and how little they had been studied using modelling approaches. Developed a curiosity about atmospheric turbulence. Studied turbulence over glaciers. Then over sea-ice. Now I am looking at long term changed in spatial sea- ice extent.
