Current Research

1) The role of sea ice and other environmental factors in determining the time of return of adult salmon to the Yukon River, Alaska, and implications for management of subsistence and commercial salmon fisheries.  Collaborating with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Commercial Fisheries, Arctic-Yukon-Kuskokwim Region. 2) Implementing the ecosystem approach to management in the Arctic, an activity of the Arctic Council, Protection of the Arctic Marine Environment Working Group (PAME), Ecosystem Approach Expert Group (EAEG).
