Current Research

"The International Tundra Experiment" (ITEX) - in situ manipulation and monitoring of plant responses to climate change (1990-). "Tundra Landscape Dynamics" (TLD) - catchment study in a subarctic-alpine area in northern Swedish Lapland, funded by the Swedish Natural Science Research Council (NFR) 1999-2001. "Dynamics of the arctic treeline" (DART) - a EU 4th framework project in alpine Scandinavia 1998-2001. "Tundra Northwest 1999" - a Swedish-Canadian icebreaker-based expedition through the Canadian Arctic, now in the phase of data analysis.
