Current Research

Sexual selection, including reproductive strategies, sperm competition, advertising behavior, ornamentation, plumage color. Phylogeography and evolution of populations. Behaviour and ecology of ptarmigan, shorebirds, and passerines (buntings and longspurs) with particular attention to reproductive strategies. Sperm characteristics and sperm competition in fishes (charr).
