The Arctic, Remote and Cold Territories Interdisciplinary Center (ARCTICenter) at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) invites applications for a Data Collection and Grants Manager. This permanent, 75% position (with future potential for full time) will be located in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

The successful candidate will serve on a larger team with ARCTICenter and will assist in managing multiple grants and projects. Under the supervision of the center director, Dr. Andrey N. Petrov, this position coordinates data collection, events, and research activities for the grant/contract projects. As part of the responsibilities, this position serves as a liaison between the ARCTICenter and internal and external grant offices, manages monthly and annual project financial accounting, and provides technical, programmatic, and administrative support. This position will also lead logistics planning for ARCTICenter research conferences, data collection projects, and other grant related events. An incumbent will have an opportunity to conduct research and occasionally travel with the ARCTICenter team.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a social or environmental sciences, or related field; at least two years of experience with research in a relevant field; demonstrated strong interpersonal skills; and demonstrated ability to administer project logistics and budgets, including organizing data and information. A Master's degree in a social or environmental sciences or related field, and at least two years of grant/project management experience are preferred.
