The Northern Climate ExChange's mandate is to provide a credible
independent source of information, develop shared understanding, and
promote action on climate change in northern Canada, principally through
research coordination, public education, and the promotion of
technological adaptation and development.
This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations
of the northern office of the Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation
Research Network (C-CIARN). This will include coordinating research and
promotional activities, preparing project reports, developing funding
proposals and working with supporting agencies and researchers, and
other related duties.
The ideal candidate will have university education (preferably graduate)
within a related scientific field and experience in the following areas:
northern research; business and academic writing; program management;
budget preparation; and advanced computer and analytical skills.
Candidates with a combination of related post-secondary education and
substantial scientific program management may also be considered.
