I am looking for an ecologist interested in working as technician as
part of a research team doing boreal forest research at the University
of Alaska. The research includes measurements of land-atmosphere
exchange, nutrient cycling, and associated data analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain micrometeorological equipment (eddy covariance) for measurement
of fluxes of water, energy, and carbon dioxide and related environmental
data in Fairbanks, Alaska, and quality-check the data obtained from
these measurements. Perform routine chemical analyses for carbon and
nitrogen in plants and soils. Assist with statistical analysis and
preparation of graphs and figures for publication. Assist with other
laboratory measurements and analyses associated with various projects.
Maintain laboratory equipment and inventories of supplies.
