Ship Time Now Available for 2003
Star Line Inc. a marine transportation company has purchased an
icebreaker from the Canadian Coast Guard Icebreaking fleet. The vessel
has finished the refit stage and is prepared for charter.
The vessel classed Lloyds icebreaker 100 A1 previously was extensively
involved in Arctic operations. During the refit stage the vessel
underwent changes to become service oriented as a support platform for
oceanographic research. Services of the vessel will include but not be
limited to: Survey Work, Support Platform for Scientific Research,
Icebreaking, Re-Supply, Dive Support/ROV, Fishery Patrol, Buoy Tender,
Accommodation Unit, Various Other Duties.
The icebreaker is 79.6 metres in length has the following features:
Accommodations for 52
Helicopter Deck
20 Tonne Main Crane + 2 Hiab Deck Cranes
Medium Cargo Capacity
Icebreaker Hull with Bow Bubbler System
Large Deck Space
Numerous Laboratory and Office Space
Various Equipment
