Join the vital and fruitful discussion in the field of plant cold
hardiness research.
BACKGROUND
For the last several years, there has been exceptionally rapid and
important progress in the field of plant cold hardiness research.
Scientists are beginning to understand the mechanism of how plants
percept cold signals, the identification of genes involved in cold
acclimation, and the regulatory mechanism of the expression of these
"cold-regulated" genes. Further understanding of the fundamental aspects
of the nature of plant cold hardiness will likely contribute to the
advancement of science, as well as to the welfare of human and other
lives on Earth.
SEMINAR SPECIFICS
IPCHS 2004 will provide current views and recent findings of active
research programs in the plant cold hardiness or related fields. The
seminar will include plenary lectures (invited), short selected
presentations, and poster sessions. Abstracts are currently being
accepted.
The seminar will be held in Sapporo, Japan, 10-15 July 2004 at the
Conference Hall on the campus of Hokkaido University. The University is
