The Sources, Sinks, and Impacts of Atmospheric Nitrogen Deposition in
the Arctic (NSINK) program announces nine (9) PhD Fellowships and three
(3) Postdoctoral Fellowships on arctic nitrogen dynamics. NSINK is a
European Union (EU)-funded Initial Stage Network (ISN) training network,
coordinated by Sheffield University, that aims to comprehensively
monitor the biogeochemistry of reactive nitrogen in a sensitive,
changing high arctic environment. This exciting program will be based
around the important arctic environmental monitoring infrastructure at
Ny Alesund (Svalbard, Norway), where a major field campaign will be
undertaken. Most positions start in October 2008.
In accordance with Marie Curie mobility regulations, these programs are
available to researchers who are still within the first five years (or
full-time equivalent) of their careers in research, at the time of
appointment. Please also note that applicants are not eligible for
positions in their home country.
