Session TS35: High-latitude River Hydrology, Ecology, and Biogeochemistry
American Society of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO)
Aquatic Sciences Meeting
Salt Lake City, Utah
20-25 February 2005
Abstract Submission Deadline: Friday, 1 October 2004
The ASLO abstract submission form is available online at:

SESSION DESCRIPTION
High-latitude rivers play an important role in the functioning of the
earth system and are unique aquatic habitats. This session will bring
together a diverse group of researchers working on either North American
or Eurasian arctic rivers in hopes of fostering a greater understanding
of high-latitude river systems. Presentations will be encouraged that
focus on any aspect of arctic rivers, including hydrologic
considerations and land-ocean linkages, biogeochemical transformations
and fluxes, and ecological studies. Additionally, presentations
addressing river-influenced processes in coastal seas will be accepted.
