The 2006 Alaska AWRA Water and Restoration Conference will be held in
Anchorage, Alaska on 23-27 January 2006.
This conference will focus on water resources and stream restoration
questions of concern to project planners, designers, regulators, and
land managers or owners. The conference is organized into two sessions.
The first session will be a thorough overview of North Slope hydrology,
water resources, and water use for application to current and future
development and management concerns. The restoration session will
include Alaska-specific issues and practices that highlight current
science and information, projects, successes, and lessons learned.
A workshop will also be held concurrent with presentations on Friday, 27
January, entitled "Setting up a Arctic Hydrologic and Meteorologic Data
Collection Station".
