The Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) 2006 will be held in Potsdam,
Germany on 22-29 March 2006.
The purpose of the ASSW is to provide opportunities for coordination,
collaboration, and cooperation in all areas of arctic science, and to
combine science and management meetings, thus saving on travel and time.
The ASSW is an initiative of the International Arctic Science Committee
(IASC), but all interested circumarctic research organizations are
invited to join.
The ASSW 2006 comprises meetings or presentations of the following
organizations:
- International Arctic Science Committee (IASC)
- Arctic Ocean Science Board (AOSB)
- European Polar Board (EPB)
- Forum of Arctic Research Operators (FARO)
- Asian Forum for Polar Sciences (AFOPS)
- Pacific Arctic Group (PAG)
- Ny-Alesund Science Managers Committee (NySMAC)
- International Study of Arctic Change (ISAC)
- Arctic Climate Impact Assessment (ACIA), Arctic Council
