This is a reminder that the deadline for registration in Yukon College's
Fieldschool in Archaeology and Ethnography is Monday, 1 May 2006. This
course provides students with an introduction to archaeological and
ethnographic field methods within the context of a community-based
research programme investigating local history and culture.
The 2006 field school will return to the Scottie Creek area of the
Tanana River watershed of the Yukon/Alaska borderlands. Archaeological
survey and excavation in the Mirror Creek valley will be combined with
related ethnographic fieldwork in cultural landuse, place names,
subsistence practices, and public interpretation.
