The Coastal Zone Canada 2006 Youth Forum will be held in Tuktoyaktuk,
Northwest Territories, on 11-14 August. The registration deadline is
Monday, 15 May 2006.
The theme of the forum is "Change and Sustainability in Arctic Coastal
Communities" and all youth (age 15-29) are invited to come and share
their knowledge and enthusiasm on topics relating to change and
sustainability.
Topics for discussion will include traditions and traditional
livelihoods, current research, educational opportunities, and the ties
between economic development and research and education. The forum will
provide an opportunity to exchange ideas, as well as a chance for youth
from varied backgrounds to come together to discuss the coastal issues
that affect their lives.
