The 3rd ArcticNet Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM2006) will be held on
12-15 December 2006 at the Victoria Conference Centre in Victoria,
British Columbia.

The ASM is the major ArcticNet networking event of the year and the
largest arctic science meeting in Canada. All ArcticNet Network
investigators are expected to attend the meeting and to encourage their
student's participation. The meeting is also open to anyone with an
interest in the impacts of climate change in the Canadian Arctic and the
work of ArcticNet and its partners. The participation of scientists,
policy and decision makers, representatives of government and
non-government organizations, and media is welcome.
Building on the success of previous ASM's, it is expected that there
will be over 325 participants and more than 170 papers representing all
fields of arctic research presented during the four-day meeting. In
order to increase networking opportunities this year, the ASM2006 is
being organized to overlap with the 14th Annual Results Workshop of the
Northern Contaminants Program (http://www.ainc-inac.gc.ca/ncp/) being
held from 11-13 December at the same venue.
You are invited to visit the new ASM2006 website where you will find the
meeting programme as well as information on abstract submission,
registration, sponsorship, hotel, and venue:
