The Department of Archaeology at University of Tromso announces a PhD
student position as part of "Arctic Natural Climate and Environmental
Changes and Their Consequences for Human Adaptation Strategies: From
Science to Public Awareness," a project of the International Polar Year.
The position is directly connected to a module of the project called
"After the Ice: Early postglacial colonization of northern
Fennoscandia."
Applicants must have a Masters degree or equivalent in archaeology, and
must be fluent in English and Norwegian or another Scandinavian
language. The position lasts for three years and should result in the
successful candidate receiving a doctoral degree. Full position
