With support from the National Science Foundation, EPSCoR operates on
the principle that aiding researchers and institutions in securing
federal Research and Development funding will develop research
infrastructure on the state level and advance economic growth.
Administered by the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Alaska EPSCoR
addresses national scientific priorities by focusing on physiology,
population genetics, and cold regions engineering, and by training
students for a technology-based workforce.
