The Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets (CReSIS) at University of
Kansas invites applications for student research positions in summer
2007 under the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program.
Successful applicants will work on research projects under the
supervision of faculty and graduate students and will participate in
tutorials and other events. Fields of study include aerospace
engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, computer
engineering, geography, and geology. REU students receive a stipend,
tuition for one hour of college research credit, and room and board at
the host institution. The REU positions are based at CReSIS, as well as
Ohio State University, University of Maine, and Pennsylvania State
University. Applicants must have completed their freshman year of
college and be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
