The University of California-Santa Barbara (UCSB) Alaska Wildlands
Studies Program is accepting applications for student scholarships for
its summer field program in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and
Preserve, Alaska.
The program takes place at the Wrangell Mountains Center and consists of
seven weeks of intensive summer fieldwork amid the peaks, glaciers,
meadows, and forests of the Wrangells wilderness. Participants earn 15
units of transferable, upper-division college credit for an
interdisciplinary curriculum in Earth sciences, ecology, natural history
field journaling, and management policy.
