Vessels are rated on a simple four-level scale:
 
None - No ice breaking ability or ice strengthening
Minimal - Ice strengthened, can operate in some ice
Moderate - Light icebreaking
Maximum - Heavy polar icebreaking
 
Note that selecting a rating will search for vessels with that much capability, or better.

Science Facilities on Board
 
Is the vessel equipped with laboratory and other working spaces for conducting science onboard, or does it serve primarily as a support vessel?

Commercial vs. Non-commercial
 
Is the vessel offered for commercial charter, or is it operated by an academic or other non-commercial institution?
