Abstract

Sea ice plays an important role in the determination of regional and global climate. The purpose of this study is to improve our understanding of sea ice sensitivity to the sea ice dynamic and subgrid scale oceanic processes that allow more realistic simulations of sea ice in global coupled climate models by comparing simulation results to observational data (discussions including the Arctic and Antarctic).
