"Fangst" is privately owned and is rented by the Institute of Marine Research (IMR) approximately 200 days per year. The vessel was built to IMR specifications and has proved to be a very capable and efficient platform for data collection, equipment trials and studies of fish behaviour in coastal waters. "Fangst" is in service for IMR along the Norwegian coast between Bergen and Kirkenes from April to November each year.
