CH2M HILL Polar Services (CPS) Aviation Safety Training 20-21 April 2010 Anchorage, Alaska For further information, please contact: Angela Pagenkopp Email: angela@polarfield.com -------------------- CH2M HILL Polar Services (CPS) announces an Aviation Land and Water course in Anchorage, Alaska scheduled for Tuesday-Wednesday, 20-21 April 2010. The two-day course offers an intense look at methods and techniques for surviving aviation accidents in the Arctic. Students are exposed to land and water crash simulators to duplicate impact conditions, and receive "dunker" training in a local pool with certified instructors. The course is facilitated by Learn to Return (LTR) Training Systems (http://www.survivaltraining.com). The course is open to twenty NSF-funded arctic researchers. This includes principal investigators, graduate students, research assistants, and undergraduate field assistants. The course is free of charge for all qualified researchers. Travel assistance and per diem is available for participants outside the local area of the course. CPS can only accept attendees whose schedules allow them to attend both days of the course. CPS will arrange and provide travel and accommodations for course participants only, and will not arrange accommodations for partners and/or families nor provide assistance with personal travel in conjunction with the course.
